Hello,

My name is Alex – the resident cook at Nash Street for the past 2 years.

Before stepping into this role, I am a Diploma qualified educator who has worked in various positions within all ages groups and enjoyed it very much.

Although becoming a cook at Nash Street has been an extension of my learning new skills within the early childhood sector – especially in the area of what children like and dislike to eat! Even on a daily basis.

This is the part of my job that challenges me to continuously improve and try new recipes, that the children will find enjoyment and nourishment from.

My favourite part of the job is the children’s recognition and their enjoyment of the food as well as having parents acknowledge the kitchens efforts in keeping happy healthy and nourished children here at Nash Street.
