I Have 10 years’ experience in early childhood education and care. For the last six years I have been working at Sandgate kids Nash St. I enjoy working with children and understand the importance of the first few years of a child’s life. I enjoy facilitating their learning and helping them discover their strengths and talents. Each day at Nash at brings a new possibility in learning.

My name is Kaylene, and I am the lead educator in the nursery.

I have many years of experience in the childcare profession.  My experience has mainly been with infants and toddlers although I have worked in all age groups.

I believe in treating each child as capable and competent. Building their sense of self through agency and giving them opportunities to try for themselves rather than doing it for them. Listening to them and respecting their boundaries.

Hi my name is Sonja and I have worked at Nash street for the past 11 years. I have two children and a grandson.

I feel very blessed to have been part of so many children’s journey of learning and discovery over the many years that I have been here. My goal is to provide children with the best possible care and help support them so they can become confident and capable individuals who enjoy spending their days in our care.

Welcome. My name is Danielle Herwig and I am the Group Leader in the Pre- Kindy Room.

I have 10 years’ experience in early childhood education and care and have spent 7 of those years at Sandgate Kids Nash Street. I have a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.

I have worked with all age groups and in many areas of child development. I love working with children and I work hard to create a welcoming, community-like atmosphere where children and their families feel at home.

I have worked in the childcare industry for 30 years, 13 of those here at Sandgate Kids Nash Street. I have multiple roles here at Nash st. These include 2IC, Educational leader an Active Outdoor Program Coordinator.

My qualifications include: Diploma of Childcare and Education, Certificate IV in fitness and a Diploma in Business. I believe we are the first impression that both parents and children have as they begin their education journey so let’s make it a positive experience. Trust is very important to me as families are handing over their most precious gift. I believe in a holistic approach to the development of children and that is why my passion is also health and fitness.
